An American Idol Contestant Tells Tragic Story

It was a touching moment on American Idol as one contestant shared his story of his girlfriend recovering from a terrible car accident. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
The story behind this American Idol wannabe is tugging America's heartstrings.
Chris Medina dedicated his song to his fiancé Juliana. They both worked at a Starbucks where he proposed. Just a few weeks before their wedding, Juliana was in a horrific car crash. She was in a coma with a fractured skull and irreversible brain damage.
"What kind of guy would I be if I walked out when she needed me the most," Medina said.
Juliana is learning how to walk again during her intense physical therapy. She still needs a wheelchair and was at the American Idol auditions in Milwaukee, supporting Medina.
"Go back and get your girlfriend we want to meet her," says Jennifer Lopez.
"Oh my god, that would make her day," replied Medina.
With Juliana by his side, Chris got great news.
"Dude, you going to Hollywood," Randy tells Medina.
And Juliana got the honor of holding his yellow ticket to Hollywood.
