Oprah Losing More Than Pounds With Weight Watchers as Company Value Drops $1.2 Billion

Since purchasing a 10 percent stake of Weight Watchers in October 2015, Oprah has claimed she lost 26 pounds, but she has also seen the company lose $117 million as shares fell 66 percent.
The value of the company has dropped a staggering $1.2 billion since Oprah came on board, leaving many to wonder if the media mogul has lost her golden touch.
According to reports, the talk TV legend is using her position on the board to push for management changes.
On Monday, the company said they will replace the current CEO, James Chambers, who has been in the position for three years, on September 30.

Oprah's high-profile power has been credited for helping Barack Obama launch his political career. She has also been instrumental in launching the careers of Dr, Phil, Dr. Oz and her friend, Gayle King.
