Emotional 12-Year-Old Grace VanderWaal Crowned 'America's Got Talent' Winner
The 12-year-old was once told she could be the "next Taylor Swift."
An emotional Grace VanderWaal has won America's Got Talent.
The 12-year-old singing sensation became a clear frontrunner when she made her debut on the show earlier this season.
The adorable ukulele player with the unique voice charmed everyone, including the judges. Simon Cowell had said she reminds him of a young Taylor Swift.
Howie Mandel told her after she was crowned: “You are a shooting star! You are on your way. I love you, you are so special."
The New York native says she began writing songs at 3 and started playing the ukulele last year after she received it as a birthday gift.
The title comes with a $1 million prize. NBC said the season finale earned the most votes from the audience in the show's history.
VanderWaal will also headline a series of concerts at the PH Showroom at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas from October 27-29.
