Investigators Find Hair, Earbuds Believed to Belong to Mother Who Disappeared While Jogging
Sherri Papini was last seen last Wednesday after dropping her children at day care and leaving for a jog off Old Oregon Trail at about 2 p.m.
Investigators searching for a California woman announced they have found strands of her hair and a pair of earbuds along the mother-of-two’s jogging route, a week after she vanished while out for a run.
Wednesday marks one week since Sherri Papini was last seen, having headed out to go jogging off Old Oregon Trail at about 2 p.m. after dropping her children off at a day care, officials said.
Law enforcement has scoured surveillance footage from homes and businesses in the area where Papini disappeared and sorted through about 150 tips, but so far there has been no sign of the missing 34-year-old mom, a news release from the Shasta County Sheriff’s office viewed by KRCR-TV said.

Keith Papini reported his wife missing after he came home to an empty house last week and learned his two sons, ages 2 and 4, were still at their day care, officials said.
Using the “Find My iPhone” app, he later found his wife’s cell phone on the ground along her usual jogging route, convincing him that something sinister had happened.
“Bring her home, bring her home, just bring her home,” a distraught Keith Papini told the television station as he announced a $50,000 reward for his wife’s safe return.

“It’s the worst thing in the world,” Keith Papini said. “It’s the worst thing ever.”
Sherri Papini stands 5-foot-4 and weighs 100 pounds. She has blue eyes and was last seen wearing a pink and black running outfit.
