From Hillary Clinton to Megyn Kelly, Women Dominate List of 2016's Most Intriguing People
Beyonce, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and the Chicago Cubs also made the list.
It was all girl-power for People magazine’s 2016 list of most intriguing people, with Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly all making the cut.
People magazine staff editor Janine Rubenstein calls the process of whittling down everything that happened in 365 days to just 25 people "painstaking."
Beyonce adds to the powerful women on the list.
"Beyonce released Lemonade this year and the world stopped and everyone started dancing," Rubenstein told Inside Edition.
The magazine's sexiest man alive, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, also made the list, as did the Chicago Cubs, who captured their first World Series title in 108 years last month.
The new issue of People, on stands Friday, features Barack and Michelle Obama on the cover.
Inside, the proud parents got sentimental talking about their daughters.
The president told the magazine: “Malia is going off to college. She's a grown woman.”
Michelle then interjected, saying, “I don't know about that.”
The president, a lawyer by trade, added, “legally [she is].”
“She's still our baby,” the first lady said.
Michelle also revealed she stopped watching TV coverage early on Election Night, telling the magazine that she went to bed before Donald Trump was officially declared the winner.
