Inside Ivanka Trump's $5.5 Million D.C. Mansion, Around the Block From the Obamas' Post-White House Digs
The lavish home has six bedrooms, a gourmet chef's kitchen and a large outdoor patio.
As the new presidential administration takes shape, Ivanka Trump and her family are getting ready to settle inside a $5.5 million D.C. mansion.
The completely renovated six-bedroom, six-bathroom home in the ritzy Kalorama section of the nation’s capital and just two miles away from The White House.
The Obamas will be neighbors, renting an eight-bedroom mansion just around the corner.
Meanwhile, preparations for Donald Trump's inauguration are taking shape.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Radio City Rockettes are the latest entertainers confirmed to play at the January 20 ceremony.
The choir’s announcement is coming with controversy after singer Jan Chamberlin resigned last week, telling her Facebook followers, "I could never throw roses to Hitler."
The Marching Tornadoes of the historically black Talladega College in Alabama has been rumored to play, which has led to a cacophony of commentary on social media.
“Really, Talladega College? Not a good look at all. Shameful," one comment read.
The spokesperson for the school told local station WIAT that “The decision to march or not to march has not been made by the president," saying nothing has been confirmed for their performances.
It's no secret that Team Trump has had difficulty booking A-list talent. Elton John, Garth Brooks, Celine Dion, and Andrea Bocelli are among the performers who have reportedly declined invitations.
"There is reverse McCarthyism going on in the entertainment industry," Bill O'Reilly said on The O'Reilly Factor Tuesday night. "A number of entertainers believe their careers will be harmed should they associate with the new trump administration. Again, that is terrible, an awful state of affairs."
Former America's Got Talent runner-up Jackie Evancho has been tapped to sing the national anthem.
