Actress Mischa Barton Suffers Scary Meltdown After She Claims Someone Slipped Her Date Rape Drug
'The O.C.' star has a history of erratic behavior.
Disturbing video of Mischa Barton has emerged, showing the actress yelling incoherently and cursing outside her West Hollywood home.
In the video, obtained by TMZ, she can be seen screaming: “I don’t want anybody to know!”
The video, apparently shot outside the former O.C. star's home last week hears her screaming: “Oh, my mother, I always knew it. Oh, you f***ing witch! I knew it!”
The clip ends with her taking a nasty fall.
The 31-year-old star told People magazine that someone slipped her the so-called "date rape drug" GHB.
“On the evening of the 25th, I went out with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday. While having drinks, I realized that something was not right as my behavior was becoming erratic and continued to intensify over the next several hours,” Barton said in the statement.
She added: “I voluntarily went to get professional help, and I was informed by their staff that I had been given GHB. After an overnight stay, I am home and doing well,” the statement continued. “I would like to extend a big thanks of gratitude to the professionals at Cedars-Sinai for their great care and professionalism. This is a lesson to all young women out there, be aware of your surroundings.”
She said it happened when she was out celebrating her 31st birthday with friends.
Barton has a history of erratic behavior and once admitted she had had "a full-on breakdown" when she was 23, caused by overwork and a party lifestyle.
