ABC’s long-running hit series The Bachelorette, has cast the reality TV show's first black lead.

Jimmy Kimmel made the big announcement Monday night on his show as he brought out Texas attorney Rachel Lindsay, 31.
Lindsay is a fan favorite on the current season of The Bachelor, which means she likely will not get a rose and be voted off.
Lindsay took to Instagram following the appearance, thanking Kimmel and ABC for the opportunity.
Her new show will begin filming later in the month.

She will be the 33rd season of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, which enters its 15th year.
