After 15 Years and 33 Seasons, ABC Casts the First Black 'Bachelorette'
Jimmy Kimmel made the official announcement on his show Monday.
ABC’s long-running hit series The Bachelorette, has cast the reality TV show's first black lead.
Lindsay is a fan favorite on the current season of The Bachelor, which means she likely will not get a rose and be voted off.
Lindsay took to Instagram following the appearance, thanking Kimmel and ABC for the opportunity.
Her new show will begin filming later in the month.
She will be the 33rd season of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, which enters its 15th year.
