Newly Released Video Shows Harrison Ford's Plane Flying Over Jet Before Landing
The incident happened early last week and the footage has just surfaced.
Frightening new video shows just how close Harrison Ford came to disaster as he landed his single-engine plane just above a passenger jet on an airport taxiway.
In the video, Ford's small single-engine yellow aircraft cast a shadow on the fuselage of the jet.
The Hollywood icon was supposed to land on a particular runway at John Wayne International Airport in California, but instead touched down on a strip used strictly for taxiing.
A moment later, he radioed the tower asking, "Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?"
Twenty minutes earlier, the 74-year-old had taken off from another airport in Santa Monica and sounded confused. He bungled his phrasing to the tower and mistakenly indicated he was flying a helicopter, not the Aviat Husky light aircraft, according to People magazine.

The FAA is investigating Ford’s incident. The probe could result in the loss of his pilot’s license, according to reports.
"The pilot correctly read back the clearance," the FAA said in a statement to InsideEdition.com. "The pilot then landed on a taxiway that runs parallel to the runway, overflying a Boeing 737 that was holding short of the runway."
