The suspect demanded money, but the woman said she didn't have any, according to cops. He forced her back into her vehicle and drove off with her. Later, he made her get into the trunk and drove to several ATMs, where he used her card, police said.
In the parking lot of a Marathon gas station, she was able to open the trunk by using a safety latch inside. She leapt out as the man pulled away in her car.
"This woman just popped out of a trunk," Yosef Alsabah, the station's owner, told InsideEdition.com Wednesday. "We brought her inside. We locked the door and called 911. She was safe," he said.
