“Our family is heartbroken to learn of the death of our son-in-law, Kurt W. Cochran, who was a victim of Wednesday’s terrorist attack in London,” Melissa’s brother, Clinton Payne, said in a statement.

“Kurt was a good man and a loving husband to our daughter and sister, Melissa,” he said.

The couple was hurled over the bridge after being struck by the vehicle allegedly driven by Khalid Masood, 52, a British-born man previously investigated for “violent extremism,” officials said.

Melissa Cochran was seriously injured in the fall, sustaining a broken leg among other problems. She remains hospitalized.
