Girl, 13, Escapes Alleged Rapist by Jumping From Car: Cops
Cops say they arrested Timothy Marble, 50, after he called police.
A California girl is now safe after cops say she escaped her rapist and kidnapper by leaping from his moving vehicle.
Sonoma County deputies say they responded early Saturday morning to a call from 50-year-old Timothy Marble, who told them his 13-year-old companion jumped out of his moving vehicle and ran off.
Upon arriving, authorities say girl emerged from the bushes, "stumbled up to the deputies, covered in road rash and stated the suspect had raped her," according to a Sonoma County Sheriff's Office release.
After the girl was treated, she was interviewed by detectives who learned that, last Thursday, she got into an argument with her mother and ran away from their Napa home.
In the pre-dawn hours of Friday, the girl said she was at a Shell gas station in Napa when she met Marble and started chatting with him. She said Marble convinced her to get into his red Chevy pickup to give her a ride.
According to the police statement, Marble gave the victim a ride out into the country where they smoked marijuana.
The girl said Marble then made sexual advances towards her that she rejected. He then allegedly tied her to a nearby tree and sexually assaulted her.
Marble is accused of then driving the victim around and convincing her to let him inject her with methamphetamine. He also allegedly scratched his name into her skin using a knife and sexually assaulted her twice more while inside his truck.
Saturday morning, the girl said she began fearing for her life, which is when she jumped out of his moving truck.
After an investigation, detectives arrested Marble, who's been charged with numerous counts of sexual acts with a minor, kidnapping and child abuse.
He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail, where he is being held without bail.
