Watch Angry Passenger Shove Pilot in Airport Confrontation
The two were seen in a shoving match at a Missouri airport.
As tensions continue to mount between the public and airlines, a passenger was caught on surveillance cameras shoving a pilot at a Missouri airport.
After an American Airlines flight landed at Kansas City International Airport in Missouri on April 12, one of the passengers on the plane happened to also be a pilot with the airline.
According to a police report, the passenger accused the pilot of blocking the aisle and being rude as the other flyers were trying to disembark.
After the passengers got off the flight, which came in from Dallas, the passenger identified as Edward N. Foster, 49, was caught on surveillance footage, released on Wednesday, following the pilot through the concourse and shoving him twice.
Cops say he tried to use his cellphone to take a photo of the pilot's ID, but the pilot swatted the phone away from Foster’s hand and that escalated with Foster shoving the pilot that was captured on camera.
The pilot retrieved his bags and headed for the exit doors, where his wife was waiting to pick him up. The passenger followed him out, still trying to take the photo.
A witness told cops that he saw the passenger "aggressively get into victim's face."
The police report says the pilot "suffered lacerations to both legs and bruising to his forearm."
Foster was cited for intentionally inflicting bodily injury which is a municipal violation. He is slated to appear in court on May 12.
