Stars Come Out to Honor Legendary Producer Clive Davis at Tribeca Film Festival
Clive Davis also premiered his new documentary, "Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives."
The man who launched the legendary careers of Jennifer Hudson, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, and Earth Wind and Fire was honored in New York City Wednesday night.
Clive Davis hit the red carpet for the opening of the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival at Radio City Music Hall, which kicked off with the documentary about his life — Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives.
Franklin, Hudson, Carly Simon and Dionne Warwick all paid tribute to the music man as they performed after the screening of the documentary about the 80-year-old music titan.
The film also features Davis’ professional relationship with the late Whitney Houston.
“I think the film beautifully captures the real Whitney that you have never seen,” Davis told Inside Edition. “[It] captured my relationship with Whitney in a very moving never-before-seen way."
Davis also gushed about the women he has worked with, telling Inside Edition: “Whitney, Aretha, Barbra Streisand — the three greatest voices of all time.”
Tribeca Film Festival founder Robert De Niro was also at the event, along with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, and Barry Manilow.
