Royal Pain: Runner Sprays Prince William With Water During London Marathon
The future king of England appeared to take it in stride.
An athlete running Sunday's London Marathon made a royal splash as he sprayed water on Prince William.
Prince William, along with his wife, Duchess Catherine, and his brother, Prince Harry, cheered on runners during the annual event that stretched across the city.
As the trio handed out water to thirsty competitors near the finish line, one runner decided to be a little cheeky and throw some water back at the future king of England.
But Prince William took it in stride and smiled, while his wife looked less than pleased. Prince Harry was not at the scene when the incident occurred. He was, however, photographed dancing with a baby.
The royal trio did get bombarded with high-fives from runners, many stopping to hug them, and others taking selfies, throughout the race.
Their organization, Heads Together, a campaign dedicated to ending the stigma surrounding mental health, was the official charity of the 2017 marathon.
