Video captured by Jordyn's mom, Tiffany, shows him standing at the top of the stairs in his tuxedo before promptly slipping down the steps.

The footage, which was posted to Twitter, has been retweeted more than 112,000 times.

"Everyone around me was cracking up," Tiffany McManus, who was waiting at the bottom of the stairs with other relatives, told InsideEdition.com. "My daughter stayed at the top of the stairs bent over laughing for a good 10 minutes."

Later that night, when they returned from the prom to change into their after-party outfits, they got a do-over. A second video shows Jordyn, 16, patiently guiding her boyfriend down the stairs, this time without a misstep.

Luckily, Austin — who likely slipped on his never-before-worn shoes — wasn't hurt in the fall.

"He was a good sport once he got past the embarrassment," McManus added.
