Woman Robbed at Gunpoint by Man She Had Sex With After Meeting on Dating Site: Cops
Kareem Mutcherson allegedly brandished a gun and forced the victim into her home, where he demanded her gaming devices, police said.
A Florida man was arrested after returning to the home of a woman he had sex with earlier that night to rob her of her video game consoles at gunpoint, police said.
Kareem Mutcherson, 23, allegedly brandished a gun and forced the victim into her Ocala home, where he demanded the gaming devices at about 2 a.m. Monday, the Marion County Sheriff's Office said in an arrest report.
Mutcherson, who was shirtless, covered in tattoos and wearing a bandana on his face, took a Nintendo Wii and a PlayStation from the home’s front room and an Xbox from the living room, the report said.
The woman began yelling for help, and four people, including a child, ran out of their bedrooms to see what was happening, cops said.
A 68-year-old man who lives in the home confronted the suspect, who allegedly pistol-whipped the elderly man before fleeing with the consoles and about 10 PlayStation games, the report said.
After Mutcherson left the scene, he was pulled over by police because one of his car's headlights was out. The detective then realized he matched the description of the suspect in the robbery, authorities said.
After searching the car, the detective allegedly found an Xbox in the back seat, the report said.
A 3-year-old child was also in the vehicle, officials said.
Mutcherson reportedly told police that his “side girlfriend,” who he called by the wrong name twice, had given him the gaming console as a birthday present after the pair had sex while his toddler daughter was in another room.
He said that he met the woman on the dating website Plenty of Fish and had known the woman for about four days before she gave him the gift, the report said. He also denied committing the robbery.
The victim confirmed to police that she had sex with Mutcherson on Monday, but identified him as the man who robbed her at gunpoint.
Mutcherson was charged with robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery on a person 65 years of age or older, possession of marijuana and driving while his license was suspended or revoked.
He remained in custody at the Marion County Jail on Tuesday, online records show.
