Amanda Bynes Says She Wants to Return to Acting as She Resurfaces for First Time in 4 Years
The former Nickelodeon star also revealed that she's in fashion school.
Amanda Bynes has re-entered the spotlight after a tumultuous few years.
She spoke to Hollyscoop’s Diana Madison and discussed her sobriety, dreams, and what she has been up to since “retiring” from acting in 2012.
“I want to do TV, maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I am a fan of, or maybe my own show where I’m the star of it,” the 31-year-old actress said in her first interview in four years.
The former child actress made a series of headlines for all the wrong reasons, appearing in court in wacky wigs as she faced a DUI charge. She pleaded no contest to reckless driving.
She now says she's been sober for three years, telling Madison that she “loves” it.
Bynes is also taking classes at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, where she is learning the fashion business.
“I learned how to sew. I make patterns and I want to start a clothing line in the future,” she said.
