A Maryland man has been arrested after he allegedly strangled his stepfather and took photos with what appeared to be the victim’s body and posted the images to social media, according to reports.

Police responding to a 911 call discovered the body of Ronald Pinkney, 65, in the garage of his home on Dalby Court in Bowie at about 8 a.m. Saturday, WTOP-TV reported.

He had suffered trauma to his upper body, authorities said.

Pinkney’s stepson, Navar Beverly, was quickly identified as a suspect in the killing, as the 911 caller told operators that her “son had killed my husband.”

A witness also went on to tell police that Beverly had said to them: “I told you I would do it.”

The chase ended near Dodson Court when cops caught Beverly, who had gotten out of his car and ran, officials said.

Online court records show a history of domestic disputes between Pinkney and Beverly, who was recently said to have put his stepfather in a chokehold until a witness intervened, WTOP-TV reported.

Beverly was charged with first-degree murder and second-degree murder. His preliminary hearing is set for October 2.
