Steve Winfree is a massive baseball card collector and his wife, Heather, decided to deliver the news by surprising him with a custom card featuring him.

In early July, she filmed the emotional moment when her husband got the card with his photo and a message from his wife that she was going to be his donor.

"His wife Heather thinks he is a great catch, so she's decided to go to bat for him," the card said. "Now, Steve will be a rookie recipient at Vanderbilt Transplant."

That's when 14 years of pain and suffering and emotions just poured out of my body.”

"I feel like anybody in my position would do the same for their husband," Heather added.

“She doesn't wear a cape but she's my superhero,” he said.
