Deidre Ball reportedly filed for divorce from Anthony Scaramucci Friday, just a week after he was appointed to his new position in the Trump administration.

“Deidre has left him and has filed for divorce," a source told Page Six. "She liked the nice Wall Street life and their home on Long Island, not the insane world of D.C. She is tired of his naked ambition, which is so enormous that it left her at her wits’ end. She has left him even though they have two children together."

The couple began dating in 2011. They were married in 2014.

Leave civilians out of this. I can take the hits, but I would ask that you would put my family in your thoughts and prayers & nothing more.

Scaramucci is a friend of the president, which reportedly created another strain on the marriage.

“Deidre is not a fan of Trump, and she hasn’t exactly been on board and supportive of Anthony and his push to get back into the White House,” the source told Page Six.

Scaramucci was named the White House communications director a week ago, following the departure of Sean Spicer.

Scaramucci is a 53-year-old Long Island, N.Y., native. The Harvard Law graduate previously worked at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers before starting his own investment firm. The businessman also portrayed himself in Oliver Stone’s Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.

In recent days, he has made headlines for his foul-mouth tirades against Reince Priebus, who resigned as chief of staff on Thursday.

President Trump announced the news of Priebus’ departure on Twitter Friday after he gave a speech at Suffolk Community College on Long Island.

I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American....

...and a Great Leader. John has also done a spectacular job at Homeland Security. He has been a true star of my Administration

I would like to thank Reince Priebus for his service and dedication to his country. We accomplished a lot together and I am proud of him!

Earlier in the week, Scaramucci told CNN that he believed Priebus was leaking information from the White House to the media and described how tensions were mounting between them.

“We have had differences," he said. "When I said we were brothers, from the podium, that's because we're rough on each other. Some brothers are like Cain and Abel, other brothers can fight with each other and then get along. I don't know if this is repairable or not — that will be up to the president.”

“If Reince wants to explain that he's not a leaker — let him do that,” he said Thursday on CNN’s New Day. “But let me tell you about myself. I'm a straight shooter and I'll go right to the heart of the matter."

In an interview with New Yorker magazine published Thursday, Scaramucci was quoted calling Priebus a "f***ing paranoid schizophrenic."
