DWTS's Kym Johnson Bounces Back After Terrifying Accident
Dancing with the Stars dancer Kym Johnson is still recovering after suffering a neck injury during rehearsal with partner Hines Ward. INSIDE EDITION has more.
It was one of the scariest falls ever on Dancing with the Stars, and it left dancer Kym Johnson in a neck brace, wondering whether she would ever dance again.
Partner Hines Ward was sliding Johnson through his legs when he slipped and fell on top of her, crushing her neck.
Johnson went into shock as paramedics rushed her to the ER.
Backstage after the show, we saw Johnson wearing an ice pack and she revealed she still can't watch the video.
"I've been told never to watch it so I think that's probably a good idea," she said.
Johnson got the go-ahead moments before show time that it was safe to dance the tango.
Johnson and Ward got perfect scores, and the tough football hero was brought to tears!
Johnson says she's grateful she is on the mend.
"Angels were looking out for me that day. I could have gone another way and I lay in bed that night and cried because I realized what could have happened," she said.
