Excuse Me, Mr. President? Trump Reportedly Calls White House 'A Real Dump'
Chelsea Clinton took to Twitter to defend White House staffers after Trump's reported remark.
The commander in chief told members of his golf club in Bedminster, N.J., that he spends so much time there because "that White House is a real dump," according to an upcoming Sports Illustrated report.
The president's staff denied Trump had uttered the remark.
That didn't stop the president's critics from pouncing, including Chelsea Clinton, who took to Twitter to defend the staff at America's most famous address.
“Thank you to all the White House ushers, butlers, maids, chefs, florists, gardeners, plumbers, engineers & curators for all you do every day,” she tweeted.
Former White House photographer, Pete Souza, took to Instagram to blast Trump’s alleged comments while showcasing a photo of President Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the Lincoln Bedroom.
In the post, he described the residence as "a place that no American should ever call a 'dump.'"
He also called Trump's alleged remark "shameful" in another post featuring the iconic exterior of the White House.
