Trump Says White House Is Not a Dump, but Reporter Claims He's Lying
The news comes as the White House will undergo renovations.
Trump allegedly told members of his Bedminster, N.J., golf club, "That White House is a real dump."
The president took to Twitter Wednesday night to once again blast "fake news" and say, “I love the White House.”

But SI reporter Alan Shipnuck stood by his claim that Trump dismissed the conditions of America’s most famous address in a podcast for Golf.com.
“It's not a lie. The president said this in front of eight or nine members and staffers at Bedminster. It was a moment of candor. Someone who was a part of that conversation relayed it to me. I found this person to be an extremely credible source,” he said.
Laurie Firestone a social secretary under President George H.W. Bush, ripped the president while defending the conditions of the White House.
“The White House is not a dump,” she told Inside Edition. “He likes to use language that shocks people. I doubt he really thinks it's a dump.”
The controversy comes just a day before the White House is set to undergo renovations. The work includes fixing leaks, power washing, sprucing up paint colors and swapping out curtains.
President Trump will stay at his Bedminster club for 17 days while the work is being done.
