50 Bikers Escort Bullied Boy to School on First Day: 'We're There for Him'

More than 50 bikers escorted Phil Mick, 11, to his first day of class to share a special message with his peers.

An 11-year-old Indiana boy had an unforgettable entrance on his first day of middle school when 50 bikers escorted him to class in hopes of spreading an important message.

“Bullying is not cool,” Brent Warfield of KDZ Motorcycle Sales & Service in Auburn told InsideEdition.com. “Bikers are against bullying.”

Sixth-grader Phil Mick says he was bullied throughout elementary school. This year, Warfield, a local biker and friend, wanted to make sure the teasing wouldn’t happen again.

In a heartwarming Facebook post, Warfield invited bikers to join his mission on August 1, starting with breakfast and ending with the escort to school.

“Some rode up [from] even an hour away to be here,” Warfield said. “We just wanted to come together as a big community and help Phil to show him that we’re there to support him during this rough time.”

The special ride has already made a big difference for Phil at school.

“He goes to school happy and comes home happy,” Warfield said. “That just makes us feel so great.”

Phil’s mother, Tammy Mick, was amazed by the outpouring of love and support from the community, calling the kind bikers her son’s "guardian angels."

"Now that he smiles, I smile," she said.
