Chris Cantwell was the subject of a Vice documentary.

A popular dating site is making a statement in the wake of the Charlottesville tragedy by kicking off a prominent white supremacist from its platform.

OkCupid announced Thursday that Chris Cantwell has been removed from the site, which boasts millions of users.

"We were alerted that white supremacist Chris Cantwell was on OkCupid. Within 10 minutes we banned him for life," OkCupid tweeted.

Cantwell was featured in a Vice documentary about the Unite the Right rally in Virginia, where a white supremacist plowed his car through a group of counter-protesters, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer and injuring many others.

Cantwell was also the subject of a viral video he made in which he sobbed because he believed a warrant was issued for his arrest in Charlottesville.

"If I have to go to jail today, it won't be the first time," Cantwell tearfully says in the video, in which he admitted to being a part of the Charlottesville violence. "I don't want to, I don't think I should.

"I've been engaged in violence... and I've done nothing to hide that, but it was done in defense of myself and others."

Cantwell — as an avowed member of what has been deemed a hate group — violated OkCupid's user agreement, according to the dating site.

In a statement to Gizmodo, an OkCupid rep continued:

"OkCupid will absolutely ban other users who are involved in hate groups," an OkCupid rep said in a statement to Gizmodo. "Cantwell violated our terms of service... Not only that, we have asked our users at OkCupid to notify us immediately if they see any individuals who are associated with hate groups."

Cantwell was also banned from Facebook following his appearance in the Vice documentary.

InsideEdition.com contacted Cantwell through his website and received a brief response that "k***s will stop at nothing."
