Identical Twin Sisters Give Birth Hours Apart in Same Hospital: 'It's Amazing'
They did everything else in life together, so it only made sense that twin sisters Rachel McGeoch and Beccy Pistone, 34, would give birth at the same time.
They were born together, grew up side-by-side and went through their own pregnancies together.
So it only made sense that twin sisters Rachel McGeoch and Beccy Pistone, 34, would give birth at the same time.
When Pistone’s Aug. 1 due date came and went, the expectant mom waited two weeks before going to the hospital to be induced. And even then, little progress was made.
“When I woke up, I just had a meltdown and I called my husband at work and I just said, 'I am going to Boston and I need to go see Rachel and I'm sure that once I get there I might go into labor too,” Pistone said.

She and her husband traveled from their home in Cape Cod to see Rachel on Aug. 13, the other mother-to-be’s due date.
And the trip did the trick.
“It was basically two hours after Beccy got here that I went into hard labor,” McGeoch said. “Once she got to the point where she was ready to push, then I went into active labor.”
As McGeoch readied to give birth, Pistone planned to head back to Cape Cod, but her baby had other plans.

“The doctors checked me and said, ‘No you're not going anywhere,’” she said.
She was checked into room right next to her sister and they coached each other through their deliveries.
McGeoch gave birth to a healthy baby boy named William that evening, while Pistone welcomed baby Andi Isabella the next day.
“I think it's amazing and just really special,” McGeoch said. “We kind of joked about this the whole time we were pregnant together and how great it would be if we could pull this off.”
