Goodbye, Dolly? Parton's Fans Skewer Her Online Over Trump Rant by '9 to 5' Co-Stars
"I'm saddened that you would stand with these idiots and bash our POTUS," one commenter wrote.
Dolly Parton has come under fire for standing by as her co-presenters bashed President Trump during Sunday's Primetime Emmy Awards.
She and her 9 to 5 co-stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin took the stage together to present the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a miniseries.
“In that movie, we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot," Fonda said.

“And in 2017, we still refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot," added Tomlin.
Parton’s presence was reason enough for some of her fans to speak out.
“I'm saddened that you would stand with these idiots and bash our POTUS,” one person wrote on Facebook.
“You just threw so many of your fans under the bus,” another commented.

“You stood up there while those two ran their mouths. You are just as bad."
Parton remained quiet and though her eyes widened as the pair spoke out, she was smiling before the diatribe was over.
