Goat Wanders Into Hotel After Roaming Town and Evading Capture All Weekend

A mysterious night guest at a Massachusetts hotel caused quite a stir among locals earlier this week.

A goat was caught on security footage trotting into the La Quinta Inn in Auburn at 4 a.m. Monday morning.

“He was outside in the parking lot and somebody made an employee aware, so she opened the door and let him in,” hotel general manager Tamie Martin told InsideEdition.com.

She explained that the front desk employee working the night shift called local authorities before making the goat comfortable by offering him a cut-up apple.

“He was perfectly happy with my employee,” Martin joked.

She explained the goat had been the talk of the area all weekend, with people reporting they had seen the furry farm creature wandering around multiple townships.

The Auburn Police Department reported on Facebook that the goat was spotted on several different streets and highways, and even by a school.

“He was in multiple places all over town but they couldn’t catch him,” Martin said. “Every time someone tried to catch him, he got away, but he walked right in our front door.”

About 20 minutes after the front desk employee reported the goat to authorities, Peter Blash of the Blash Pig Farm in Millbury came to pick up his lost animal.

The owner’s sister, Helene Blash, told InsideEdition.com that the goat was safely returned to the farm with no risk of escaping again.

“He’s locked up,” she joked.
