Brother Breaks Down in Tears Watching Little Sister's Father-Daughter Dance at Wedding
Zak Fick, 25, explained that while he rarely tears up in public, he relived all the memories he made with his sister over the years during the dance.
He may not be the emotional type, but this man couldn’t help but sob at the sight of his baby sister getting married.
Zak Fick, 25, was tasked with capturing the father-daughter dance on video at his younger sister’s wedding in Pequot Lakes, Minn., last month.
Instead, Fick was caught on camera by photographer Joelle Julian sobbing uncontrollably into his hands.
“The music started, and I started watching, knowing I had a job to do,” Fick told InsideEdition.com. “All of a sudden, I started listening to the lyrics of the song. It was all just a perfect moment, and when you have all that going through your head, it just all builds up and takes over.”
Bride Kelsey Buelow, 23, said she didn’t notice until the end, when she made eye contact with her teary-eyed brother.
“My dad spun me one last time, and I saw Zak and he was sobbing,” Buelow told InsideEdition.com. “I just lost it. It made the situation even more emotional.”
She explained that she and her dad had been practicing the dance secretly for months. They originally expected the surprise choreography would bring her mom to tears.
“We’re Midwesterners — we don’t know how to dance,” Buelow joked. “I kept looking at my mom and she was just smiling. Then, I saw Zak bawling.”
Fick explained that while he rarely tears up in public, he relived all the memories he made with his sister over the years as she and their father danced.
“We’ve traveled so much, we’ve done so many things together, spent so much time together,” he explained. “Our entire life revolves around family.”
Buelow added, "Even though he jokes a lot and he picks on me, we know that deep down, we truly love each other."
