Stars Shine at the Tony Awards

Neil Patrick Harris brought down the house as the host of last night's Tony Awards and The Book of Mormon was the night's big winner. INSIDE EDITION has the details.
How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris brought down the house at last night's Tony Awards, and the event was most certainly star-studded.
The Book of Mormon proved to be the big winner, garnering nine awards. The other winner of the night was Catherine Zeta-Jones, who made her first public appearance since her brave revelation that she is being treated for bipolar disorder.
Drop-dead gorgeous in a sparkling red gown, the actress handed out the Best Actor awards during the live broadcast of the Tonys.
This year's show had its own live faux pas when Brooke Shields flubbed a joke about disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner.
Later onstage, Shields explained what happened.
"I can do eight shows a week, but I can't read a teleprompter," she joked.
Comedian Chris Rock cracked up the crowd when he presented the Best Musical award to The Book of Mormon.
But most of the jokes were directed at the famously troubled Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark, even though it wasn't eligible for this year's Tonys because it doesn't officially open until next week.
"Pretty soon they'll be changing the name to 'Spider-Man: Turn off the Lawsuits,' " Harris commented.
Even Spider-Man composers Bono and The Edge chimed in.
"We used to be famous for being in U2," the musicians said.
Actors Ellen Barkin and John Larroquette, who made their Broadway debuts this year, also took home trophies.
From the comedic interludes to glamorous appearances, this year's Tony Awards was without a doubt a memorable evening.
