Javier Colon Wins The Voice

Hit reality show The Voice revealed the winner of its first season, Javier Colon. But some are asking if Justin Bieber helped sway the votes? INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
The new TV talent competition The Voice wrapped up its first season Wednesday night after becoming a major breakout hit.
Javier Colon is the first winner of the NBC talent contest The Voice. The finale featured Colon and Stevie Nicks performing a memorable duet.
But already, there's controversy.
People are wondering: did Justin Bieber skew the results in favor of Colon?
Bieber took to his Facebook page and encouraged his millions of fans to vote for Javier. "Javier from TEAM ADAM is a BEAST! Support him on THE VOICE!" Bieber wrote.
Bieber's support may have helped Colon beat out runner-up Dia Frampton, who sang a duet with country star Miranda Lambert.
When INSIDE EDITION caught up with Colon, he was thrilled he won.
"It goes to show that good things can still happen," he said.
What makes The Voice different from American Idol is that real singers like Christina Aguilera coach the contestants.
"We put in such long hours and such hard work with everybody involved, that it's just like, everybody is happy for each other," Aguilera said.
But today, no one is happier than Javier Colon. With $100,000 and a contract with the Universal Republic recording label, he is truly going home a winner.
