Katie Couric Visits The View

Katie Couric visited The View today, her first ABC News appearance since leaving her job as the anchor of the CBS Evening News in May. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.
Katie Couric walked out from backstage at The View arm-in-arm with another TV legend, Barbara Walters
The former CBS Evening News anchor, who left in May, sat down with the ladies of The View as special guest co-host.
"I'm coming to daytime, I'm really excited," Couric said.
It was a chance for Couric to brush up on her daytime TV skills.
Just last month she inked a deal to host and produce her very own syndicated daytime talk show.
Couric isn't leaving the news business completely. Before her TV show premieres, she'll cover news for ABC.
Couric was replaced by Scott Pelley as anchor of the CBS Evening News.
