The End of an Era: All My Children's Final Episode Airs

It's the end of an era as today, after 41 years, the final episode of All My Children airs. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.
It's the end of an era on television as All My Children airs its final episode Friday and becomes part of TV history.
The show leaves behind an impressive legacy of soap opera actors turned stars, none bigger than Susan Lucci, who played the feisty Erica Kane for 41 years.
"It's the end of an era, this is one of the most popular shows of all time," said TV Guide.
Lucci choked up as The View paid tribute to All My Children.
"Thank you so, so much for doing this special tribute, this is incredible," she said.
Lucci is also being honored on the cover of a special issue of People magazine.
She posed in a spectacular black evening gown, and showed she's still stunning at 64.
For better or worse, the face of daytime TV is changing forever.
