Dancing With the Stars Debut

INSIDE EDITION reports from backstage at the season premiere of Dancing with the Stars where the stars share their reaction to the first night.
For her Dancing With the Stars debut, Melissa Gilbert left her Little House on the Prairie dress at home, and wore a sexy number with a backless top.
She did some amazing back bends, even more amazing considering she broke her back in an accident almost two years ago.
Backstage she told INSIDE EDITION how she's doing.
"It doesn't hurt, I'm fine," Gilbert said.
The empress of soul, Gladys Knight, showed that she's still got it at age 69.
Knight got a one-minute standing ovation.
"I've been watching this show from the beginning but I never dreamed, honest to goodness, I never dreamed I would be in this position right now," said Knight.
Latin soap hunk William Levy made the women swoon.
Jaleel White—aka TV's Urkel—showed he's a nerd no more with his foxtrot.
"It's a rush. There's no roller coaster like that," said White.
