Ashton Kutcher's Commercial Pulled After Uproar
A new commercial starring Ashton Kutcher sparked an uproar over the depiction of Indians, and has been pulled from TV. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
Ashton Kutcher's new commercial for Popchips has now been pulled.
In the ad, he plays a bunch of single guys looking for a date, but it was his portrayal of a Bollywood producer that triggered an uproar.
In the commecial, Kutcher is dressed as an Indian man and says, "I'm Raj. I'm an Indian producer looking for the most delicious thing on the planet."
On the Today show, Tamron Hall said, "There's another way to be funny. If the only way to be funny is brown face, then go back to comedy school."
Popchips apologized, saying: "We did not intend to offend anyone."
