Ernest Borgnine Dies at 95

Beloved actor Ernest Borgnine passed away at the age of 95 in Los Angeles. INSIDE EDITION looks at his long career.
Iconic actor Ernest Borgnine, whose career spanned nearly seven decades and more than 200 film and TV roles, is dead.
Borgnine died Sunday in Los Angeles of kidney failure at age 95. Just last year, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award by the Screen Actors Guild.
Borgnine won an Oscar® as Best Actor in the 1955 movie classic Marty, playing a lonelyhearts Bronx butcher with a domineering mother.
Before Marty showed a softer side, Borgnine had specialized in playing bad guys, including 1953's From Here to Eternity where he had memorable bar fight with Frank Sinatra.
In 1972, he was part of an all-star cast in the special-effects blockbuster, The Poseidon Adventure. And to a generation of TV viewers, he was the star of the classic sitcom McHale's Navy.
His manager says in a statement:
"The world has lost a sage and loving man who taught us all how to grow young. His infectious smile and chuckle made the world a happier place."
