The Talk co-host Sharon Osbourne just had a double mastectomy to reduce her risk of contracting breast cancer.
"I had the breast cancer gene and of course, we know I had the colon cancer gene. It was a decision I made myself, I wasn't diagnosed with breast cancer, but, I had the gene," she said on The Talk.
Osbourne told Hello magazine, "The odds are not in my favor. I've had cancer before...I decided to just take everything off."
Osbourne said she underwent the 13 hour operation so she could be around for her grandkids.
She told Hello, "For me, it wasn't a big decision, it was a no-brainer. I want to be around for a long time and be a grandmother."
Osbourne said she has no plans for breast reconstructive surgery.
She candidly said on The Talk, 'I had been looking at pictures of myself recently, since I started to lose weight, and in a lot of shots my face looked very plastic."
