Kinky Boots Leads Broadway's Tony Award Winners

Broadway's Tony awards here handed out in New York, with Kinky Boots taking home six awards. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.
The Cyndi Lauper musical Kinky Boots took the night's top prize for Best Musical.
The show about a shoe factory that's saved from ruin when it starts making kinky boots snagged the prize from the Brittish import Matilda: The Musical. Most critics predicted Matilda would triumph.
Cyndi Lauper looked genuinely surprised when she won for writing the music for the show but admitted practicing a speech anyway.
"I can't say I didn't practice in the shower," said Lauper.
The show's star, Billy Porter won the Tony for Best Actor in a musical.
The award for Best Play went to Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.
