Moonshiners Take Manhattan

INSIDE EDITION finds out what happens when the country boys from Moonshiners go around New York City.
Tim Smith and his buddy Steven Ray Tickle distill their own hooch in the backwoods of Virginia. Smith does it legally and Tickle illegally.
The TV series Moonshiners, which airs on Tuesdays on the Discovery Channel, is the latest hit in an explosion of shows dubbed “Redneck TV,” such as Duck Dynasty, Hillbilly Handfishin' and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
INSIDE EDITION caught up with the moonshiners way out of their element at the crossroads of the world—New York's Times Square.

Even in the Big Apple, they have plenty of fans.
When they tried ice skating in Bryant Park, it turned into a reality show all of its own.
Strolling the streets of New York worked up an appetite for them, so they popped into Lady Mendel’s for afternoon tea of all places, which was not exactly a type of country cooking.
Tickle commented, “This is very fancy.”
“I guess this is what famous people eat, right?” asked Smith.
The folksy moonshiners seemed to be looking forward to getting back home to Virginia after their big day in the big city.
