Westminster Dog Show Handlers Dress For The Occasion

INSIDE EDITION went behind-the-scenes of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City to find out how the handlers choose their wardrobe for the big event.
All attention is focused on the dogs competing at the Westminster Dog Show. But what about the handlers who parade those champions as the world watches?
On Tuesday at the dog show, pant suits and sensible shoes were, as always, the common dress code.
Norma Smith trains handlers. She told INSIDE EDITION, “It is the greatest dog show in the world. You want to look your best. You want everyone to know how proud you are of your dog, so, you let it show through with your clothing."
Janet Watson handles a Great Dane. She said, "You have to have a little bling. This is Westminster, this is Super Bowl for dogs."
Michael Yacona won't blend into the background in a bright purple suit, saying, "For me, today, the purple are the colors of Westminster. I try to match it up a bit, and it goes great against the green carpet."
In the end though, it's really all about the dogs.
