Valentine's Day proved extra special for Simon Cowell and girlfriend Lauren Silverman with the birth of their new baby boy. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

The former American Idol judge beamed as he carried his baby boy out of Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. Simon's girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, was at his side.
A reporter joked, “Lauren, are you going to make Simon change diapers?”
Lauren gave birth to little Eric Cowell on Friday, Valentine's Day, at 5:45 P.M. He weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces. The baby is named after Simon's father.
Simon tweeted a sweet photo gallery with his first -born son. "I never knew how much love and pride I would feel," he wrote.
