Is This The Hidden Cash Man?

The hidden cash frenzy has gripped the nation in a scramble to find money hidden by a secret source. Now, has the identity of the benefactor been revealed? INSIDE EDITION has the story.

It's the mystery grab for hidden cash that has gripped the country. Everyone wants to know who's behind the feeding frenzy.

Could it be this guy?

His name is Jason Buzi, and he's a real estate investor who has made a fortune flipping houses  in the San Francisco Bay Area.

INSIDE EDITION has learned that Buzi appears to be the benefactor who has left clues about where to find envelopes stuffed with cash all over the West Coast. His deeds have sparked copycats across the nation, and the world.

INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret spoke on the phone to the man who tells us he runs hidden cash. Moret said, "Mr. Hidden Cash, hi this is Jim Moret from INSIDE EDITION. How are you?"

"I'm good. How are you?" he replied.

Moret asked, "Are you Jason Buzi?"

"No," he answered.

Moret said, "You've identified yourself as a real estate developer in San Francisco. It sounds like the same person."

"No, it is not. Several names have been bounced around in the press. None of those names are correct. None of them are me," he replied.

Listening closely to his voice and comparing it to the voice of Jason Buzi which we found  on a real estate podcast, they sure do sound the same.

This isn't the first time Buzi has organized a scavenger hunt.

In 2008 when Buzi ran a website called, he hid tomatoes for cash all around San Francisco and New York City. Things got so chaotic, cops asked Buzi to shut it down.

Moret asked, "Where do you see it going from here?"

Mr. Hidden Cash said, "We definitely want to expand it and do it in more places on a bigger level, and make it sort of a nationwide or even global movement."
