Shock Jock to Erin Andrews: "Wrong and Immature"
Erin Andrews was on the red carpet at the ESPY Awards, and got an apology from the radio hosts who bashed her on the air. INSIDE EDITION explains.
Erin Andrews was all smiles as she hit the red carpet at the ESPY Awards just hours after being subjected to a vicious verbal attack for simply asking this question at the All-Star Game, ‘Don't you just love social media?”
Boston radio talk show host Kirk Minihane said, “I hate her! What a gutless (bleep)! Go away. Drop dead. I mean, seriously what the hell is wrong with her?”
Now, he is apologizing.
"My choice of words was wrong," he said in a statement. “To all whom I offended—particularly Ms. Andrews—I apologize. There is no place for what was said. It was immature and completely uncalled for. I'm very sorry."
The rude comments didn't seem to phase Andrews as she dazzled in a strapless white dress at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles.
Cheryl Burke, her pal from Dancing with the Stars, came to her defense, telling INSIDE EDITION, “People are going to have their opinions, and you just have to ignore them. Those haters out there look bad, not you.”

The 22nd ESPYs were hosted by singer Drake.
The highlight of the show came when the NFL’s first openly gay player, Michael Sam, fought back tears as he accepted the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage.
He said in his speech, “To anyone out there, especially young people, feeling like they don't fit in and would never be accepted, please know this: great things, great things can happen when you have the courage to be yourself. Thank you and God bless.”
INSIDE EDITION’s April Woodard’s nephew, Super Bowl winning quarterback Russell Wilson gave his Aunt a quick shout out on the red carpet saying, “Hi April!”
He later took the stage with the rest of the Seattle Seahawks to accept the night's big award for Best Team.
