The word for this year's Emmy fashions is red, and lots of it. INSIDE EDITION reports from the Emmys where red was the color choice for many.
Just call them the ladies in red!
Mad Men stars January Jones and Christina Hendricks shined in the color of the night.
Claire Danes followed the trend. Danes stunned in a sheer lace Givenchy number.
Lindsay Miller, Senior Entertainment Editor at Popsugar.com gave the actress credit, telling INSIDE EDITION, “She really nailed it. She had a classic vibe with some updated accents like that jeweled neckline. It was just gorgeous.”
Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco Instagrammed a photo of herself chowing down on a burger and fries from McDonald’s, before hitting the red carpet in a bright red strapless number by Monique Lhuillier.
Heidi Klum hit the red carpet looking effortlessly chic in a gown by Zac Posen, getting some help with her dress’s train from Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
And Kerry Washington, star of Scandal, was a tangerine dream in Prada.
White was another big trend of the night.
Modern Family's Sofia Vergara was white hot in a strapless gown by Roberto Cavalli and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi wore a Ralph Rucci dress.
Dancing with the Stars judge Julianne Hough wore a structured white strapless gown, with her brother, Derek, on her arm.
Orange Is the New Black star Taylor Schilling was simply stunning in a sequined gown, with a gorgeous ring to match.
INSIDE EDITION’s Deborah Norville asked Schilling, "Oh my Lord. How many carats is that?”
"I actually don’t know, but I know it's worth a lot," replied Schilling.
Halle Berry was the epitome of Hollywood glamour. The 48-year-old made a grand entrance showing lots of leg in a dusty pink gown by Elie Saab.
INSIDE EDITION's own Deborah Norville was a red carpet standout in a black lace dress by Ysa Makino. Her earrings are by Camilla Dietz Bergeron and her bracelet was by Cartier.
The must-have men's fashion accessory of the night? A cane.
Kevin Spacey sauntered down the red carpet carrying a cane. But it wasn't for style. He injured his hamstring playing tennis.
Some big names missed the mark.
Lena Dunham, star of HBO's Girls, wore a powder pink top with a voluminous tulle skirt. CBS’s Suzanne Marques was not impressed, saying, "Lena Dunham kind of resembled a cupcake.”
And the usually glamorous Julia Roberts? Not so much.
Miller commented, “Julia Roberts had a misstep going so short for the Emmys. It was a little bit, maybe too casual."
And, Katherine Heigl's frumpy frock was a fashion don't.
Marques commented, “She had kind of a matronly shaped gown. It was gold, it was a nice color, but if it was cut into any different shape, it might have flattered her youth more."
