New 'SNL' Cast Member's Dad Was Fallen 9-11 Hero

Saturday Night Live newcomer Pete Davidson stole the show on this weekend's season premiere, but his current rise to stardom began with a tragidy. INSIDE EDITION has his story.
The son of a hero firefighter who lost his life on 9/11 made his debut on Saturday Night Live and he was a hit!
At age 20, Pete Davidson is the youngest featured SNL player. Thirteen years ago his dad, firefighter Scott Davidson, was killed on 9/11.
Scott Davidson was just 33 years old, like so many comedians, Pete’s personal sorrows find their way into his work.
He once joked, "I didn't grow up with a dad. I only had a mom growing up, so I didn't know how to talk to women very well."
Pete was just seven years old when he lost his dad.
He recently tweeted: "Can’t believe it's been 13 years. Feels like it was just yesterday. Words can't express how much I miss you."
And Pete’s dad surely would have been proud to see his son succeed on this legendary show.
