Baby Alligator Crosses the Road, Thanks to Kindhearted Deputies
Deputy Herrera of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office gave ample encouragement to the "little guy."
This alligator may be small, but it's got places to go.
Florida authorities were dispatched to the scene when the tiny gator was seen trying to cross a road.
Deputy Arturo Herrera of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office could be seen in a video posted to Twitter speaking words of encouragement to the “little guy” as it marched across the busy street.
"How did the baby gator cross the road?” the tweet joked. “With the assistance of Deputy Herrera of course!”
Cops said the gator disappeared safely into an old phosphate pit after successfully making the trip.
