An explosive device was found on the seabed of one of Barcelona’s most popular beaches, prompting authorities to evacuate.

People were relaxing in the 86-degree weather when an alert was triggered. The bomb, which reportedly dates back to the Spanish Civil War,
was found lying in 10 feet of water, according to reports. It was about 80 feet offshore.

Bomb experts will determine for certain when the bomb is from and then the device will be safely detonated.

It is not uncommon to find decades-old explosive devices.
