Bright Orange Bird Turns Out to Be Seagull Covered in Curry

The fragrant gull was rescued from the side of a road and taken to a wildlife hospital.
A very orange and very fragrant bird was rescued from the side of a road by good Samaritans who transported him to a wildlife hospital.
The source of his strange color came from being covered in curry.
"This is one of the strangest casualty circumstances we have seen in a while!" wrote a staffer on the Facebook page of Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Britain.
The seagull was unable to fly because of his spicy covering and reluctantly submitted to being bathed by hospital workers.
After a prolonged, soapy scrubbing, the gull emerged clean as new, though the wildlife staff was covered in curry-tinged water.
"We have no idea how he got into this predicament but thankfully, apart from the vibrant color and pungent smell, he was healthy," the hospital post said.
The cleaned-up bird will soon be released back into the environment, the hospital said.
