Cafe Owner Chases Off Burglar From 4,000 Miles Away: 'I Can See You in There'
Jamie Foster, who owns Lillie's Cafe, was vacationing in the Dominican Republic when he got a notification from his Ring camera of an intruder in his restaurant.
A burglar thought he had a cafe in Essex, England, all to himself — until the owner scared him off from 4,000 miles away.
Jamie Foster, who owns Lillie's Cafe, was vacationing in the Dominican Republic when he got a notification from his Ring camera that an intruder was detected in his restaurant.
Foster opened up the video feed and watched from afar as a strange man rifled through cabinets and drawers, apparently looking for money.
When the man eventually found the cash register, Foster had to think quick. So he started shouting at the burglar through his phone.
Video captured the moment Foster startled the man. "I can see you in there, you know?" he tells the burglar, who immediately gets up and quickly exits the cafe.
Foster said the man managed to take about 50 British pounds. Police are asking anyone with any information about the theft to contact them.
